About |
The few Catholic families of Zamania were served from Ghazipur till Fr. Jacob Kavalam took up residence here in 1988. The station is just on the bank of the Ganges. Sisters of Our Lady of Providence joined the ministry from the very beginning of this Parish, and started living there from 1989. They work in the school seeing to all the needs of academic requirements. There is also an effective health ministry by OLP sisters. After the death of Fr. Jacob Kavalam, Fr. Thomas N.J. was appointed as incharge of the station. He built up the station by promoting bus service to several children to come to school. Fr. Robert D'Costa continued the good work of Fr. Thomas N.J. When Fr. Robert was transferred, Fr. Joseph Crasta was appointed as incharge of the station and he has promoted social and health animation by the help of diocesan rural development centre, Raghopur. Now a team of animators are progressively working in the station. |
