About Till 1976, this was a sub-station of Birabhanti. In 1975, four Sisters of Society of Helpers of Mary started living in Gignhara village. It was asked to be looked after by the Norbertine fathers. In 1976, a plot of land was bought and Priest's House was built at Ratsar. Fr. Dinesh, O.Praem was appointed the first Priest Incharge. The Church was built at the time of Fr. Felix and Fr. Jerome. Sisters of the Society of the Helpers of Mary opened a Grihini School for the rural girls to teach them some daily life skills such as literacy, stitching, embroidery, pickle making and cooking. This training is for one year. Besides working for the Grihini, sisters are involved in the social, development and pastoral work.
