In 1984 Bahadurganj parish was established. Formally it was part of Tajopur. Fr. Paschal Serrao was appointed there. He bought a piece of land there. Fr. Satyawan built the parish house. From 1997 this Parish has resident Priest. Dina Sevana Sabha (DSS) sisters joined the ministry in 1999 and began the work with a dispensary adjacent to the convent building. Mau, Fatima hospital sisters were visiting the station with a mobile dispensary and community health programme until DSS sisters opened a dispensary there. The DSS convent at Bahadurganj was blessed on July 19, 2000. A primary school was established in 2006, and now it has grown up to class VI. The number of families and people in contact with the church has gone higher. The catechetical and evangelical work is taking a fruitful development among the people. In the year 2012 a beautiful church was blessed under the supervision of the parish priest, Fr. Anand Prakash. |
